Christmas time is here, it is my favorite time of the year and I want to share a couple of items that have become two of my favorite things, the Miko and the Breo. First, an update on my healing journey.
I think it’s a battle that I am slowly winning:
As most of you know, I have been battling chronic Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) brought about by an autoimmune disease that attacked my lungs, muscles and my nerves. It has been a tough battle for eighteen months now, however, I think it’s a battle that I am slowly winning, thank God! I have so much to be joyful and thankful for this year. I pray for healing; I am shuffling now, knowing that I will dance again one day soon…
These days, I don’t believe in normal:
A year ago there were so many things that I could no longer do. Today, I am happy to say that with braces I am walking, the nerves and muscles in my hands, legs, and feet are getting stronger and my voice is almost normal, I think. These days, I don’t believe in normal. I do believe the key to my healing is to do all physical and occupational therapy as asked and adhere to all treatment religiously… But, traveling down the healing road I have found that one has to do more for one’s self to feel and get better. You cannot rely solely on healthcare professionals. I am on the recovery road, my battle continues…
My daughter is my get-well agent:
My daughter is my get-well agent, she is always looking for items that assist in my healing or increases the quality of my life right now. One such item is the Miko Shiatsu Foot Massager and Foot Warmer that she gave me for Christmas last year. This powerful machine improves the circulation as-well-as soothe morning numbness in my feet and warms them up. I use it for at least fifteen minutes every morning while having my coffee and sitting in my comfy chair. Yes, it’s a big favorite… Another healthful tool that my daughter found is the Breo iPalm520S Electric Acupoint Hand Massager with Air Pressure and Heat Compression. This tool has been so helpful, especially in the early morning and late-night hours when my hands are dreadfully cold. Do your hands ever feel like you are rubbing sand? Well, this is how my hands feel all the time. The Breo warms my hands up and the compression helps to subside the rubbing sand sensation somewhat so that I can use my hands better. I now cannot live without the Breo or the Miko. Be a get-well agent to someone you love this Christmas.
I want to hear your path to healing and share more of mine:
If you are suffering from ILD or an autoimmune disease, I want to hear from you, I want to hear your path to healing and share more of mine…
Be Bold and Bloom, be at your best every day, in every way and at every age no matter what. Be excellent. Be your SuperSelf. #ILD #autoimmunedisease
