Be careful who you let in your inner circle. Look to your right and look to your left, who’s there? Who text you last? Who picked up the phone and called you last? Who loves you and who do you love? These are the people who influence you the most. Are these people supporting and encouraging you when the champagne is not flowing? Can you call these people at 2:00 a.m. in the morning if you need someone to talk with or listen to you?
My grandmother gave me great advice, she said, “don’t let anyone in your home that doesn’t have as much to lose or more than you do”.
People in your inner circle should want the best for you always and by all means, they should be people you can trust, especially, if they have reason to be in your home. Your inner circle should not be those that want to take from you, see you fail, or entice you to harmfulness with bad habits. Your inner circle knows you, respects you and will be there for you through thick and thin. They are confidential people that protect your privacy and have your utmost interest at heart, and you theirs. Live an excellent life to the fullest, but remember everybody is not your friend!
